The approximate date of this internship isJanuary 2027 to June 2027and willbe located in Orlando, Florida.

What You Will Do

As an Estimating intern, you willbe responsible forpreparing estimates for facility, shows, and rides throughout our project lifecycles and will work under the immediate direction of a Project Senior or Principal Estimator! You will have the opportunity to:

  • Review and incorporate historical cost data from purchase orders, subcontracts, productivity analysis reports, etc. into estimates
  • Assistin preparing estimates by calculating complete takeoffs of a scope of work
  • Maintain files for all working documents and data as back up to estimate figures
  • Assistin evaluating all design documentation and provide trend estimates and analyses against current EFC/Budget estimate during design phase

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Working knowledge of estimating methodologies and cost management principles
  • Ability to interpret computerized cost data and systems
  • ProficiencyinMicrosoft Office Suite, including advanced skills in Excel for data analysis
  • Ability to work successfully with all levels of management, all project team members (project management, contractors, sub-contractors etc.) to achieve team goals
  • Ability to read, interpret and apply information from construction drawings

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant experience supporting project estimates, cost planning, and financial analysis
  • Experience with dashboard modeling, reporting, and data visualization tools, includingPower BI
  • ProficiencywithPower Queryand data transformation techniques
  • Familiarity withAutodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)and/orAutodesk Formaforproject collaboration, planning, and data-driven decision-making

Education

Currently enrolled as a Junior or higherattendingan accredited college/university earning a degreemajoringConstruction Management/Engineering, Architecture or Engineering

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meetall ofthe below requirements:

  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application posting OR currentlyparticipatingin a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program

The pay rate for this role in California and Florida is $31 per hour for undergraduate students, $36 per hour for graduate students.
