We are looking for an Estimator in our Deland, FL office!

  • This is an in-office position (5 days in office, not remote/WFH).
  • Sponsorship is not available for this position.

Summary: Provide Kingspan Insulated Panel (KIP) project quotations to Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) (& their customers) from supplied project documents and/or material lists. Support RSM’s needs to provide both budgetary and firm price quotes within the customer’s time frames.

Essential Duties:

  • Provide accurate pricing for various panel/product types on time.
  • Perform detailed material takeoffs when provided with sufficient project documents.
  • Develop accurate, detailed, descriptive materials, quotations/estimates.
  • Assist RSM, as necessary, regarding the utilization of proper KIP product offerings for specific applications.
  • Coordinate quoting efforts and strategies with sales reps as required.
  • Provide information to Customer Service when a project is booked & participate in handoff meetings with Drafting as required to communicate knowledge used in the winning quote.
  • Cross-reference/note details and conditions shown within project documents with Kingspan Insulated Panels standards.
  • Maintain organized quotation logs and files, so they may be accessed quickly for reference.
  • Follow the Group Code of Conduct and Group Compliance.
  • Follow Compliance requirements per “KNA-SOP-1705 Compliance Roles and Responsibilities.”
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:

  • Technical, Architectural, or Engineering degree or 4 years of applicable industry experience.
  • 2+ years of estimating experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings.
  • Ability to understand and interpret project specifications, addenda, special provisions, and all other applicable project documents.
  • Experience with insulated/metal panel construction is a plus
  • SALESFORCE experience is a plus.
  • BLUEBEAM experience is a plus
  • Excellent organizational and mathematical skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and problem-solve with minimal supervision.
