Job description

We are seeking a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join a growing public accounting and advisory firm serving high-net-worth individuals, business owners, partnerships, trusts, and estates. This role offers the opportunity to move beyond traditional tax compliance by working closely with clients on tax planning, estate planning, retirement planning, and long-term wealth management strategies.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, and estates.
  • Assist clients with proactive tax planning, tax projections, and year-round advisory services.
  • Research tax laws and regulations to provide accurate guidance and planning recommendations.
  • Identify tax-saving opportunities and develop strategic tax solutions for clients.
  • Support trust, estate, and fiduciary tax planning engagements.
  • Participate in retirement planning, wealth management, and financial advisory initiatives.
  • Attend client meetings and present tax planning strategies and recommendations.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships through exceptional service and communication.
  • Collaborate with senior tax professionals on complex tax, accounting, and advisory engagements.
  • Manage multiple client engagements while meeting deadlines throughout the year.
  • Prepare organized workpapers and maintain accurate supporting documentation.
  • Stay current on tax legislation, accounting standards, and industry best practices.

Requirements

  • Active CPA license required.
  • 1-3+ years of public accounting or tax experience.
  • Experience preparing individual, corporate, partnership, trust, and estate tax returns.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
  • Experience with trust, estate, and fiduciary taxation is highly preferred.
  • Interest in expanding expertise in tax planning, estate planning, retirement planning, and wealth management.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to build strong client relationships and deliver exceptional client service.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Willingness to work additional hours during peak tax seasons.
  • Ability to work on-site in Oradell, New Jersey.
