Position Summary
The Bartender at the Round Barn Estates provides exceptional guest service while preparing and serving craft cocktails, wines, beers, and specialty beverages produced on-site. This role supports the overall guest experience by offering knowledgeable product guidance, maintaining a clean and organized bar environment, and delivering hospitality aligned with the Round Barn brand.
Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Service
  • Welcome guests with a friendly, professional attitude and provide attentive, highโ€‘quality service.
  • Guide guests through beverage selections, including wines, craft beers, and cocktails.
  • Answer questions about tasting notes, ingredients, and production methods.
  • Ensure all guests have a positive, memorable experience reflective of Round Barn Estatesโ€™ standards.
Beverage Preparation
  • Prepare and serve beverages accurately and efficiently according to established recipes.
  • Maintain knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits produced by Round Barn Estates.
  • Assist with tastings, flights, specialty cocktails, and seasonal beverage programs.
  • Monitor beverage quality and presentation standards.
Operations amp; Environment
  • Set up and break down bar stations, ensuring cleanliness and full stocking.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workspace throughout service.
  • Support opening and closing procedures for bar and tasting room operations.
  • Assist with bussing tables, restocking shelves, and maintaining public areas as needed.
Sales amp; Inventory
  • Accurately handle POS transactions for tastings, bottle sales, merchandise, and tab management.
  • Promote featured beverages, events, and membership/wine club opportunities.
  • Support inventory counts, restocking, and product rotation.
  • Prevent product waste through proper pouring and handling techniques.
Compliance amp; Safety
  • Adhere to all alcohol service laws and responsibleโ€‘service standards.
  • Verify guest age through proper ID checks.
  • Follow all sanitation, health code, and safety guidelines.
  • Report equipment issues, safety concerns, or guest incidents promptly.
QualificationsRequired
  • Experience in bartending, tasting rooms, or related hospitality roles.
  • Strong customerโ€‘service and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a highโ€‘volume, fastโ€‘paced environment.
  • Basic knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits (training provided).
