Trusts & Estates Paralegal

Location: Hauppauge, NY (Fully On-Site)

Compensation: $80,000 - $100,000 DOE


About the Opportunity

A well-established law firm in Hauppauge is seeking an experienced Trusts & Estates Paralegal to join its growing practice. This role will support attorneys in sophisticated estate planning matters with a strong emphasis on drafting estate planning documents and administering complex trusts.


Responsibilities

  • Draft trusts, wills, powers of attorney, healthcare proxies, and related estate planning documents
  • Assist attorneys with complex trust planning and trust administration matters
  • Prepare and organize documentation for estate settlements and probate proceedings
  • Maintain client files and ensure accuracy of legal documents
  • Communicate with clients, financial institutions, and other professionals as needed
  • Coordinate document execution and manage deadlines
  • Conduct legal and factual research related to trusts and estates matters
  • Support attorneys throughout the estate planning and administration process


Qualifications

  • 3+ years of Trusts & Estates paralegal experience preferred
  • Strong experience drafting estate planning documents, including trusts and related instruments
  • Knowledge of trust administration and estate settlement procedures
  • Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines simultaneously
