Responsibilities

ERP Business Analyst

Massillon, OH (Hybrid Schedule)

We are seeking an ERP Business Analyst responsible for the technical configuration, integration support, and operational health of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&SC platform and its connected systems. This role centers on the data and integration layer that moves information between D365 and surrounding applications such as the Boomi integration platform, warehouse management, AP automation, and reporting. Key activities include hands-on system configuration, building and monitoring integrations and interfaces, managing data entities and import/export jobs, troubleshooting failed transactions and data discrepancies, and providing direct technical support. Working closely with end-users and technical teams is essential for resolving integration issues and implementing technical optimizations across the D365 ecosystem.

In this role, the ERP Business Analyst will develop both broad system knowledge and specialized understanding of D365 configurations and data structures within key functional areas (Finance, Master Data Management, Supply Chain, Commercial). The ERP Business Analyst will report to and collaborate with the ERP Business Supervisor.

Your seat at the table:

  • Monitor the health and performance of the Dynamics 365 F&SC platform and its integrations daily, including warehouse, transportation, and middleware (e.g., Boomi) interfaces, and scheduled batch jobs.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve failed transactions, interface errors, and data integrity issues across D365 and connected systems (warehouse management, AP automation, EDI, and reporting).
  • Build, configure, and maintain data integrations using D365 data entities, OData, recurring import/export jobs, and middleware mappings, ensuring accurate and timely data flow between systems.
  • Develop and tune data import/export packages validating data accuracy and completeness end to end.
  • Configure and modify D365 settings, parameters, number sequences, and workflows based on evolving business needs and approved change requests.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries to analyze data, validate integrations, and diagnose discrepancies between source and target systems.
  • Collaborate with business users and external trading partners to facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for integration changes, system patches, and upgrades.
  • Assist in maintaining D365 security configurations, including user roles, permissions, and segregation-of-duties controls, under the guidance of the ERP Business Architect.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for system configurations, integration designs, interface specifications, and troubleshooting runbooks.

Qualifications

What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in ERP administration, integration support, or a related technical role.
  • Demonstrated understanding of core ERP concepts and functionality (e.g., modules, configuration, data entities, and cross-system data flow/integration).
  • Working knowledge of integration concepts and technologies such as APIs, EDI, file-based interfaces (SFTP), and middleware/iPaaS platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL for querying, analyzing, and validating data across systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand core business processes such as: Manufacture to Deliver, Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, Plan to Produce, and Record to Report.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to methodically troubleshoot technical, integration, or data-related issues.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when working with data, integrations, and system configurations.
  • Excellent communication skills for handling support tickets and collaborating with users, technical teams, and external trading partners.
  • Ability and willingness to learn new technologies and processes quickly, specifically Dynamics 365 F&SC and its integration tooling.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Direct hands-on experience supporting, administering, or integrating Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&SC.
  • Prior experience in a support or administration role for another major ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
  • Experience working with SQL Server, Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&SC Integrations
  • Experience with an iPaaS/middleware platform such as Dell Boomi, Azure Logic Apps, or similar.
  • Experience with the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power BI, dual-write) for integration and reporting.
  • Familiarity with other programming or scripting languages for automation and data manipulation.
  • Understanding of X++ for report authoring and D365 extensions.
  • Understanding of FastPath for managing Security and Compliance within the ERP to meet segregation of duties requirements.

We are an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, pregnancy, age, national origin, disability status, genetic information, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
