Involves technology-based analysis of business practices, processes and problems; developing solutions which may involve process design, data and information architecture, software development and policy or procedural changes; creating specifications for systems to meet requirements; validating requirements against needs; designing details of automated systems; developing user interface design; planning and executing unit integration and end-user acceptance testing; may develop training materials for system implementation. May lead cross-functional teams to solve complex business or systems issues.

Technical leader with a high degree of knowledge in the overall field and recognized expertise in specific areas; problem-solving frequently requires analysis of unique issues / problems without precedent and / or structure. May manage programs that include formulating strategies and administering policies, processes, and resources; functions with a high degree of autonomy.

Partner with HR functional teams and campus partners to identify process improvement opportunities, support the design or refinement of UCPath and Oracle HCM business processes, and document requirements, procedures, and job aids to support consistent and compliant operations

Support system, integration, and user acceptance testing activities; review test results, identify data integrity issues, assist with data cleanup or mass uploads, and support the implementation of UCPath and Oracle updates and process changes.

Serve as a key analyst resource by consulting with users on system capabilities, contributing to UC systemwide workgroups and enhancement discussions, submitting documented requirements to the UCPath Center/UCOP, and providing guidance and knowledge transfer to HR and departmental users.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
  • 5 years of experience in UCPath and/or Oracle HCM
  • Knowledge relating to the design of processes and software across the organization.
  • Advanced skills and methodologies associated with HR processes and translation of associated requirements into a technology solution
  • Demonstrated skills needed to develop process, testing, and training implementation plans.
  • Demonstrated experience with process analysis, systems analysis to meet a business need
  • Understanding and skill in complex process and systems requirement documentation standards, such as Use Case modeling, User Story creations and narrative description.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with others from diverse backgrounds.
  • Self-motivated and works independently and as part of a team. Able to learn effectively and meet deadlines. Demonstrates problem solving skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of HR business processes and procedures.
  • Demonstrated testing and test planning skills.
  • Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information to technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization.
