Role : Senior Birst BI/Analytics Developer
Location: Atlanta, GA
Duration: 12 Months
Top Three Skills
1. 8+years of BI development & Analytics experience( Qlik,Tableau, Cognos, OBI or comparable tools)
2. 3+ years of Birst Design and Development experience REQUIRED
(will be responsible for doing modeling, development, reporting, ETL and visualization work in Birst)
3.. 3+ years of HR domain experience preferred(Human Capital Management - HCM- SAP or Ceridian, or talent management/acquisition- Brassring or Taleo)
*any background in SAP is a plus
Job Description:
Design, develop and implement reporting and analytics solution for global HCM project; including semantic layer and visualizations in Birst. As part of ongoing project of consolidating multiple HR ERP systems (SAP, Ceridian, Taleo, Brassring) to Infor CloudSuite HCM, need to build new BI application in Birst to support the reporting and analytics need of the project.
Key Responsibilities:
• Participate in the development of reports, metrics, models, scorecards, and dashboards by gathering various HR data subjects and transforming it into stories/insights that drive recommendations and decision-making.
• Consolidate report inventory from multiple legacy reporting platforms to a single technology.
• Manage/participate as the HR data and reporting SME on concurrent projects with varying deliverables, priorities and timeframes.
• Implement best practices for modelling and semantic layer for global multilingual platform
• Gather reporting/analytics requirements across various HR functional areas like core HR, payroll, recruiting; develop functional and technical specs.
• Provide input and design the appropriate facts and dimensions for HCM reporting and analytics needs.
• Follow best practices for global multilingual consumer
• Design and develop security model within the BI platform to secure HR data appropriately.
• Create a wireframe diagram which meets the existing and future needs.
• Interactive report element design (filters, prompts, drill-downs, alerts, translatable elements)
• User interface and mobile design considerations and recommendations
• Partner with DW modeler to ensure requirements are communicated accurately and timely.
• Develop a full and detailed understanding of all HR data available across the company, which includes all systems involved in data maintenance.
• Maintain the integrity of the HCMS by conducting regular audits.
• Demonstrate continuous efforts to improve processes, increase data integrity, and provide quality customer service.
• Assist in gathering requirements, developing functional specifications, process and training documents, and test scripts.
• Conduct and participate in unit, integration, regression and acceptance testing, and related activities.
• Follow data validation processes to ensure accuracy of reporting data
Required Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or other technically relevant degree.
• 3+ years of experience working in Birst.
• 8+ years of experience in industry-standard Business Intelligence and Analytics Platform (e.g. Birst, Qlik, Tableau, Cognos, OBI or similar tools).
• Experience working with AWS storage technologies like S3, redshift etc
• Proven experience working on medium to large-scale complex HR technology projects.
• Worked in global multilingual BI projects
• Functional and technical requirements gathering for Reporting and Analytics
• Expert in SQL, report development, and transactional table relationships
• Ability to understand semantic design and its alignment to the database
• Strong written and Oral communication is a must
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with a strong focus on customer service and solution ownership.
• Must have strong analytical skills and can demonstrate strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner and success working with a global project team
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple, dynamic priorities.
Desired Qualifications:
• Preferred BI/Analytics experience with HCM application like SAP HR and Payroll, Ceridian, Taleo
