Job description

Business Application Analyst

We are seeking a Business Application Analyst with strong IFS ERP experience to support and optimize enterprise business applications. The ideal candidate will serve as a functional and technical liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams, helping improve workflows, reporting, system functionality, and overall operational efficiency. This is a highly visible role supporting multiple business units including Operations, Finance, Procurement, Service, Inventory, Asset Management, Construction, and Project Management.

Important: The client is specifically seeking an IFS ERP professional with broad, cross-functional experience across multiple IFS modules. While many IFS professionals specialize in a single area, this position requires a well-rounded IFS generalist capable of supporting various business functions and workflows.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze, document, and improve business processes within the IFS ERP environment.
  • Gather and translate business requirements into scalable system solutions.
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings, workshops, process mapping, and workflow analysis sessions.
  • Configure, support, troubleshoot, and optimize IFS ERP modules and related applications.
  • Support ERP enhancements, upgrades, implementations, and process automation initiatives.
  • Assist with integrations between IFS and other enterprise systems.
  • Develop reports, dashboards, KPIs, and analytics using SQL and reporting tools.
  • Perform data analysis to identify operational improvements and business insights.
  • Collaborate with business users, developers, vendors, and leadership teams.
  • Create and maintain system documentation, training materials, and process documentation.
  • Support testing, user training, change management, and adoption activities.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience supporting ERP systems, business applications, or business analysis functions.
  • Strong hands-on experience with IFS ERP (mandatory).
  • Experience supporting multiple IFS functional areas/modules.
  • Strong understanding of ERP business processes and workflow optimization.
  • Experience gathering requirements and translating business needs into technical solutions.
  • Strong SQL querying and data analysis/reporting experience.
  • Experience with dashboards, reporting tools, and business intelligence platforms.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting enterprise application integrations.
  • Experience working with operations, finance, procurement, inventory, service, asset management, or project management teams.
Location Requirement
  • Candidates must currently reside in the Denver, Colorado area.
  • Must be willing and able to work onsite approximately 3 days per week.
Target Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is an IFS ERP Generalist who has worked across multiple functional areas rather than specializing in a single IFS module. Candidates with broad IFS administration, support, business analysis, configuration, reporting, and process improvement experience will be prioritized.
