IFS ERP Developer - Onsite
Job Summary
GM Performance Power Units (GMPPU) is seeking a highly qualified and driven IFS ERP Developer to support and advance our enterprise IFS Cloud environment. This position serves as a key technical resource between business stakeholders, functional analysts, system administrators, and implementation partners, focusing on the design, development, customization, integration, and support of the IFS ERP platform.
The successful candidate will be instrumental in maintaining, optimizing, and expanding the IFS ERP system through custom development, business process automation, reporting solutions, integrations, and user experience enhancements. This role requires expertise in IFS development tools, APIs, Projections, BPA Workflows, Lobbies, Reports, and system integrations while ensuring solutions align with business objectives, security requirements, and ERP best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Application Development & Customization
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy custom solutions within IFS Cloud.
  • Develop and maintain custom pages, commands, fields, events, and client configurations.
  • Create scalable and supportable ERP solutions that align with business requirements.
  • Ensure all customizations adhere to IFS development standards and upgrade strategies.
  • Collaborate with business and functional teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.

Lobby & Dashboard Development
  • Design and develop operational and executive Lobbies.
  • Create KPI-driven dashboards and visualizations to support business decision-making.
  • Build and maintain custom data sources and lobby elements.
  • Partner with stakeholders to enhance ERP visibility through actionable analytics.
  • Support reporting initiatives utilizing IFS tools and Power BI.

BPA Workflow Development
  • Design, configure, and maintain IFS BPA Workflows.
  • Troubleshoot workflow performance and identify opportunities for process optimization.
  • Collaborate with business teams to improve efficiency through automation.

Reporting & Business Intelligence
  • Develop and support Business Reporter, Quick Reports, operational reports, and custom reporting solutions.
  • Create SQL-based views and reporting datasets.
  • Work with business stakeholders to define reporting requirements and KPIs.
  • Support financial, operational, manufacturing, and supply chain reporting initiatives.
  • Optimize report performance and usability.

Integration Development
  • Design, develop, and support integration between IFS and third-party applications.
  • Support API, middleware, EDI, and cloud-based integrations.
  • Develop data transformation and synchronization processes.
  • Assist with integration troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure reliable and secure data exchange.

Database Development & Support
  • Develop and maintain PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and database views.
  • Troubleshoot complex data and application issues.
  • Assist with data migration, conversion, and validation activities.
  • Support data governance and master data initiatives.

Testing, Deployment & Support
  • Develop technical documentation, test plans, and deployment procedures.
  • Participate in unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing.
  • Support application releases, upgrades, and system enhancements.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for production issues.
  • Train users and technical resources on developed solutions.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3-5+ years of ERP development experience.
  • Hands-on experience developing and supporting IFS Applications or IFS Cloud.
