Business Application Analyst – IFS ERP

Summary of Duties: The Business Application Analyst – IFS ERP is responsible for reviewing, analyzing, configuring, and improving business processes and workflows within the organization's IFS enterprise application environment. This role partners closely with business units, technical teams, and leadership to support operational efficiency, process improvement, reporting, and enterprise application optimization. The analyst serves as a functional and technical liaison between end users and IT, helping design scalable solutions, troubleshoot system issues, improve workflows, and support strategic initiatives related to IFS and associated business applications. This role may support projects across multiple business units including operations, finance, service, construction, procurement, inventory, asset management, and project management.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Review, analyze, and document business processes and workflows to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization within the IFS ERP platform
  • Lead requirements gathering, validation, and documentation efforts to ensure business needs are accurately translated into system solutions
  • Facilitate process mapping sessions, requirements workshops, interviews, and workflow analysis with business stakeholders
  • Analyze operational inefficiencies and recommend scalable process improvements utilizing IFS functionality and related applications
  • Assist business leaders in aligning operational objectives with system capabilities and enterprise technology solutions
  • Provide functional support and troubleshooting for IFS ERP modules and associated business applications
  • Support implementation, configuration, testing, upgrades, and maintenance of IFS solutions
  • Assist users with system navigation, reporting, workflows, and process-related issues
  • Collaborate with developers, administrators, and vendors to resolve application issues and improve system performance
  • Support integrations between IFS and other enterprise platforms or third-party applications
  • Maintain understanding of IFS best practices, module functionality, and system enhancements
  • Perform data analysis using SQL, reporting tools, and business intelligence platforms
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, KPIs, and operational analytics to support business decision-making
  • Analyze trends, performance metrics, and operational data to identify risks and opportunities for improvement
  • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and reporting accuracy across systems and departments
  • Participate in enterprise application projects including:
    • ERP enhancements
    • System implementations
    • Workflow automation
    • Reporting initiatives
    • Process optimization efforts
  • Manage requirements traceability and change control processes throughout project lifecycles
  • Assist in project planning, testing coordination, training, and user adoption activities
  • Support project schedules, deliverables, and communication between stakeholders and technical teams
  • Effectively communicate technical concepts and system functionality to non-technical users and leadership
  • Partner with developers and subject matter experts to establish technical solutions aligned with business goals
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, operations, service, procurement, HR, and other departments
  • Prepare and maintain system documentation, process documentation, and training materials

Accountability:

  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Comply with RK Enterprise Applications team coding standards for SQL and general architecture.
  • All employees are accountable for safety and health and are empowered to stop work if an unsafe condition is present. Employees should immediately notify their supervisor so that the hazard may be corrected.
  • RK employees and subcontractors are required to implement and maintain all safety and health systems practices including the training requirements of RK Orientation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field preferred
  • 3–7 years of experience in business analysis, ERP systems, or enterprise applications support
  • Experience supporting or administering IFS ERP strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of ERP business processes, business systems analysis, workflow optimization, data analysis and reporting
  • Experience with SQL querying and data analysis reporting tools and dashboards, enterprise application troubleshooting, and requirements gathering and documentation
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
