We are seeking full-time Radiology Patient Scheduling Representatives to support a leading healthcare organization. In this role, you will coordinate patient scheduling for diagnostic imaging services including MRI, CT, Ultrasound, X-Ray, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine, and other radiology procedures. You will play a critical role in ensuring patients receive timely access to care while providing a positive and compassionate scheduling experience.
Prerequisites for employment include a clear Background Check and Medicare Fraud Check.
Responsibilities
  • Schedule patients for radiology and diagnostic imaging procedures in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols
  • Review imaging orders for completeness and accuracy prior to scheduling
  • Obtain and verify patient demographic, insurance, and registration information
  • Answer inbound calls from patients, physician offices, and healthcare providers regarding imaging appointments
  • Educate patients regarding preparation instructions, required documentation, arrival times, and procedure expectations
  • Coordinate appointment scheduling based on modality availability, provider requirements, and patient needs
  • Verify insurance coverage and obtain authorization information when required
  • Accurately document scheduling activities and patient interactions within designated systems
  • Adhere to HIPAA, HITECH, and organizational confidentiality standards
  • Provide professional, compassionate, and patient-centered service during every interaction
  • Meet productivity, quality, and customer service expectations in a fast-paced call center environment
  • Available to work shifts between 8:00 AM and 7:00 PM EST as needed

Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Must have experience using Epic EMR/EHR
  • Ability to navigate Epic scheduling, registration, and patient access workflows
  • Experience reviewing orders, patient demographics, insurance information, and appointment details within Epic
  • 1-3 years of healthcare scheduling, patient access, call center, medical office, or customer service experience preferred
  • Prior radiology scheduling experience highly preferred
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and diagnostic imaging procedures preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information
  • Comfortable working in multiple software applications and electronic medical record systems
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
