Job description

We Are Hiring for a Service Writer in Dulles, VA!

Transdev in Leesburg, VA is hiring a Service Writer. The Service writer ensure efficient vehicle maintenance scheduling and manage orders. We are looking for customer service-oriented professionals who

are dedicated to safety.

Transdev is proud to offer:

  • Competitive compensation package of minimum $23.00 – Maximum $26.00

Benefits include:

  • Vacation: minimum of two (2) weeks
  • Sick days: 5 days
  • Holidays: 12 days; 8 standard and 4 floating
  • Other standard benefits: 401(k) retirement plan, medical, dental and vision, life insurance, short-term disability, voluntary long-term disability.

Responsibilities:

  • Open work request immediately upon receipt.
  • Close work request immediately upon completion of quality inspection.
  • Run and review reports as needed.
  • Answers shop telephones and schedule repair appointments.
  • Maintain vehicle information files.
  • Take road call information and dispatch mechanics or outside service.
  • Arrange pick-up of outside repairs.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous vehicle maintenance administrative experience preferred.
  • Strong data entry skills.
  • Computer literate with an advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.

Physical Requirements:

  • The essential functions of this position require the ability to:
  • Push and pull objects, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level
  • Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
