Job description

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
Under direction of the school Principal and CTE Director, to develop in each student insight and understanding of the industry and its place in our society. Plan, prepare, implement, monitor, and evaluate a quality competency-based Engineering program leading to the development of student skills sufficient to qualify for entry-level employment and/or post-secondary education using effective instruction with all students.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  1. Teaches skills and knowledge in the area of Culinary Arts, utilizing NH DOE CTE competencies for Culinary/Hospitality and locally developed curriculum and other appropriate learning activities.
  2. Plan, prepare, implement, monitor, and evaluate a quality competency-based Culinary/Hospitality program leading to the development of student skills sufficient to qualify for entry-level employment and/or post-secondary education using effective instruction with all students.
  3. Understanding of the teaching/learning process.
  4. Ability to provide instruction that reflects multiple perspectives and multicultural education.
  5. Ability to infuse technology into the curriculum.
  6. Ability to work and communicate effectively with administrators, colleagues, central office and school based staff, students, parents and community.
  7. Guides students at appropriate work-based learning opportunities including overseeing the Culinary Restaurant, Lab, and equipment.
  8. Participate in the ProStart, ย the Culinary Arts Career and Technical Student Organization.
  9. Maintains an active advisory committee consisting of industry representatives, post-secondary partners, Culinary educators and prior and current students.
  10. Keeps informed of the industry's job entry requirements and instructs students in the rudiments of getting and retaining these jobs.
  11. Complete other duties as assigned by the CTE Director.
  12. Follow District policies and procedures.

CERTIFICATE AND LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:
Certified by the NH State Department of Education required or be eligible for certification.
ServSafe Certified.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in the applicable field of education from an accredited college or university. Master's degree preferred. ย ย ย
