Job description

Junior Azure Administrator

Location: Metro Atlanta (Onsite)
Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Summary

Infinity Technology Consulting, Inc. is seeking an experienced Junior Azure Engineer who thrives in a customer-facing environment and takes pride in ownership of the client experience.

This role is not entry-level. In this role, you will support cloud operations, Microsoft 365 / Azure administration, and Intune endpoint management, working primarily with internal teams and collaborating with clients as needed. The focus is on hands-on engineering work, incident response, environment monitoring, and participation in structured cloud and endpoint projectsโ€”not onsite end-user or desktop support.

You will be expected to independently manage day-to-day operational tasks in live environments, communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and exercise good judgment in knowing when to troubleshoot issues on your own versus when to escalate to senior engineers or leadership. This role is well-suited for someone who takes ownership, values accountability, and wants to deepen their expertise in Microsoft cloud and endpoint technologies within a mentorship-focused, growth-oriented environment.
What Success Looks Like in This Role

  • Internal teams and assigned clients view you as a trusted technical partner, not just a task-taker.
  • Incidents and requests are handled efficiently, communicated clearly, and seen through to resolution with proper documentation and follow-up.
  • Periods of stability are used productively to identify risks, recommend improvements, and contribute to small enhancements or projects within client environments.
  • You demonstrate good technical judgmentโ€”knowing when to troubleshoot independently and when to escalate appropriately to senior engineers or leadership.
  • You can translate technical concepts into plain language for stakeholders while also engaging in deeper technical discussions with engineering peers when needed.
Required Skills & Experience

Strong working knowledge of:

    • Microsoft 365 / Azure / Intune
    • Endpoint and MDM management
    • Windows 10/11
    • macOS / iOS

Certifications:

  • AZ-900 (Azure Fundamentals) โ€” required
  • MS-900 (Microsoft 365 Fundamentals) โ€” required
  • MD-102 (Endpoint Administrator) โ€” required or in-progress
  • Company will support and sponsor certification progression.
  • Extensive Experience supporting environments with Dell, Microsoft, Cisco, and Apple hardware
  • Comfortable using remote support and RMM tools

Requirements

Technical Operations
  • Perform adds, moves, and changes in Azure AD / Entra ID (users, groups, licenses).
  • Manage Azure AD user authentication, password resets, MFA support, and basic security support.
  • Provision and manage Microsoft 365 resources (mailboxes, groups, permissions).
  • Support Intune device enrollment and lifecycle (configuration profiles, compliance, app deployment).
  • Monitor alerts and respond to incidents with documented escalation procedures.
  • Maintain documentation and standard operating procedures.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers on projects and client engagements.
  • Use PowerShell to assist with automation and repetitive tasks.
  • Hands-on experience administering Azure AD (Entra), Microsoft 365/Azure, and Microsoft Intune in cloud-only environments.
  • Basic PowerShell experience โ€” using and modifying scripts.
  • Previous experience with adds/moves/changes, maintenance tasks, and user support in a professional environment.
  • Comfort with client interactions and incident response workflows.
  • Experience in an MSP or IT service environment is preferred.

Support and administer:

  • Microsoft 365 (Azure AD, Exchange Online, Intune)
  • Azure cloud services
  • Windows 10/11 and macOS/iOS environments

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with hybrid AD environments (Azure + on-prem)
  • Familiarity with RMM or ticketing tools
  • Exposure to cloud monitoring tools or security alerts

Benefits

  • Health Care Stipend (to offset medical, dental, and vision expenses)
  • Simple IRA (with employer contribution, if applicable)
  • Life Insurance (Basic, Voluntary & AD&D)
  • Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick & Public Holidays)
  • Family Leave (Maternity & Paternity)
  • Short-Term & Long-Term Disability
  • Training & Professional Development
