Warehouse Assistant Manager
Direct Mail Solutions is a full-service mail company located in Richmond, Virginia. DMS is seeking Warehouse Assistant Manager who will be responsible for the day-to-day warehouse operations. (This listing is an entry level management position).
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Assist managers in the motivation and guidance of warehouse employees to develop and maintain a teamwork environment.
  • Provide primary and comprehensive organization of all inventories of materials and finished product utilizing computerized inventory module.
  • Daily communication with management and staff in regard to shift transition, daily activities, and operational issues.
  • Achieve production standards with expected quality on a daily basis.
  • The ability to work flexible overtime as needed.
  • Provide support in areas necessary to maximize productivity.
  • Safe operation of material movement equipment: Forklift, Reach Truck, and Pallet Jack.

Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities:
  • Supervisory/Management experience - a plus!
  • Basic computer and communication skills are required.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Work independently and self-motivated.
  • A Minimum of one year warehouse operations experience is required.
  • Previous forklift and pallet-jack experience is a plus.
  • Must have the ability to safely lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis.

This is a full-time position.
Core shift hours are Monday - Wednesday, 6:00 am - 7:30 pm.
