Job description

Entry Level Legal Assistant

Seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry Level Legal Assistant to join our team. In this position, the successful candidate will provide essential support needed with day-to-day administrative tasks and legal processes.

Responsibilities

  • Medical records requests, including retrieval, verification, release authorization, uploading, and secure transmission.
  • Schedule conference calls and appointments with doctors and clients.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality while complying with HIPAA and state regulations.
  • Communicate with vendors to fulfill records request
  • File and organize legal documents; manage and update case files.
  • Provides information to claims professionals and insureds
  • Answer calls, respond to emails and forward correspondences.
  • Data management utilizing legal software platform and workers' compensation sites.
  • Perform general administrative tasks such as data entry, scanning, and mail

Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Previous office or administrative experience is a plus but not required
