Compensation Range: Insert $55,000 - $70,000 annually (depending on location, experience, skills, and qualifications)

What We Are Looking For

To pursue new business opportunities and maintain existing contracts for efforts to provide disaster recovery and environmental restoration services to Governmental agencies in an assigned geographic and/or functional area. The principal result of successful performance will be the acquisition and growth of profitable federal, state, municipal, and commercial contracts.

The Client Services (CS) Representative is an entry level position responsible for nurturing relationships and helping improve readiness posture.

What You Will Do

  • Participate in internal training to learn the different competency fields in the disaster debris removal industry.
  • Participate as part of a team in the pursuit of federal, state, municipal, and commercial contracts within a specified region, market, or event.
  • Support regional marketing, sales, and contract development in business development initiatives, especially building relationships with client organizations that have existing executed contracts with Ceres.
  • Develop and maintain positive, ongoing relationships with targeted customers and strategic partners within a specified region, market, or event.
  • Assist Client Services Manager in potential contract opportunities, business areas, and partners within a specified region, market, or event.
  • Record and track all sales and customer-related activity within CRM.
  • Assist the proposal production staff by contributing subject matter expertise to continually improve our proposals and to create specific proposals in response to new opportunities.
  • Work with business project managers, estimators, and other staff as necessary to collect information on potential bid opportunities and qualifications for eligibility.
  • Provide technical support to Operations during disaster activations.
  • Rapidly deploy to provide clients and operations with preliminary damage assessments and support in standing up operations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s or Masterโ€™s Degree in Emergency Management or related field, engineering, business, government management
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and foundational project management skills, with a willingness to deepen capabilities through training and coaching
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability and eagerness to learn additional tools and systems
  • Knowledge of contract administrationย 
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and actively incorporate feedback
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the willingness to develop negotiation and clientfacing capabilities through coaching
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple assignments, with openness to guidance and continuous improvement

What to Expect

This is an entrylevel, relationshipfocused role in a fastpaced, missiondriven environment. As a Client Services Representative, you will spend much of your time learning the disaster recovery and debris removal industry, supporting business development efforts, and building trust with government and commercial clientsโ€”often before, during, and after highpressure events such as hurricanes or other disasters. Work may include long hours, rapid shifts in priorities, and travel or deployment on short notice to support clients and operations in the field. Success in this role requires flexibility, strong followthrough, comfort working across teams, and the ability to balance relationship building, administrative work (CRM tracking, proposals), and ontheground support while continuing to develop technical and industry knowledge.
