Location: Holyoke | Willingboro, NJ 08046

F L S A: Non - Exempt

Job Type: Full-time

Shift: Sunday - Thursday 3pm-11pm

Pay: $18.50 per hour

Hope Homes โ€“ Holyoke House provides a therapeutic environment that focuses on providing individualized care and support to our residents, between 14 โ€“ 21 years old. Our team of professionals play a vital role in helping our adolescents navigate their unique challenges and empower them to reach their full potential. Hope Homes โ€“ Holyoke House believes in the power of a supportive and inclusive community.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct care and supports to up to five residents, including supervision, meal preparation and transportation to appointments and activities.
  • Assists with the development and implementation of individualized treatment for each resident.
  • Collaboratives with team members to ensure consistent and effective delivery of therapeutic care.
  • Participates in staff meetings, trainings, and other career development activities.
  • Maintains accurate and complete resident records, including progress notes and incident reports.

Qualifications:

  • A high school or high school equivalency diploma and one year of experience working with individuals with I/DD in a group setting; OR
  • An associate or bachelorโ€™s degree from an accredited college or university in a field that is unrelated to social work or psychology and six monthsโ€™ experience working with individuals with I/DD in a group setting; OR
  • An associate or bachelorโ€™s degree from an accredited college or university in social work, psychology or a related field

In addition, the ideal Youth Support Worker

  • Is knowledgeable of child development, behavior management, and therapeutic techniques.
  • Can work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Will exhibit excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Has a valid driverโ€™s license and reliable transportation.
