AV / Low-Voltage Technician - High-End Residential
$32-$40/hr | Control4 | Luxury Homes | Tampa
Hive designs and installs high-end home automation systems for some of Tampa's most beautiful homes. We're growing fast and looking for an experienced AV / low-voltage technician who takes pride in clean work, understands the details, and wants to work on better projects with a team that actually cares about quality.
This is not an entry-level role. We're looking for someone who can work independently, make smart decisions in the field, and deliver quality installs with strong knowledge of Control4 systems.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll be trusted to handle high-end residential installs, including:
  • Programming and Integrating Control4 systems
  • Building clean, labeled, quality equipment racks
  • Installing TVs, speakers, cameras, and structured wiring
  • Installing and measuring motorized shades
  • Installing alarm and security components
  • Installing tape lighting, transformers, and lighting systems
  • Understanding lighting concepts including warm-to-dim
  • Working with Control4 systems
  • Installing and setting up Networks
  • Performing basic troubleshooting (AV, cameras, TVs, speakers, networking)

You won't be rushed to "just make it work." Clean, correct installs matter here.
