Job description

Graduate Enrollment Specialist

The Graduate Enrollment Specialist plays a key role in the initial review and processing of applications to the Masters and Doctoral programs at the NYU Tandon School of Engineering. This includes but is not restricted to, supervision and management of graduate student employees in specific areas of the review process including GPA entry and PhD applications, distribution of faculty reader assignments using Slate, reviewing English Language Proficiency waiver requests, overseeing the troubleshooting process for any application or document errors and serving as the primary contact person for credential evaluators. Oversees the pre-enrollment document submission process for new students including collecting official documents, updating student records, and ensuring all new students have met the official documents requirements set forth by the University. Responsible for ensuring accuracy and integrity of all data held by the Office of Graduate Enrollment Management and Admissions using expertise in Slate (by Technolutions) and PeopleSoft. Partner with office leadership to improve and streamline admissions process and meet graduate enrollment goals in accordance with the School and the University's strategic plan.

Qualifications

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree in a related area Preferred Education: Master's Degree in a related area Required Experience: 3+ years experience in a university admissions office or related experience Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Must demonstrate excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Proficiency in Slate (by Technolutions), Microsoft Excel, and Peoplesoft. Must be knowledgeable as to best practices regarding data management, reporting, application documents and verification. Must have proven skills in troubleshooting technical errors related to data management systems. Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Familiarity with Department-based application reading process.

Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $81,292.75. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
