Position Summary
The Life Enrichment / Programming Assistant supports the planning and implementation of engaging social, recreational, educational, spiritual, and therapeutic activities designed to enhance residents' quality of life and overall wellbeing.
This role works closely with the Life Enrichment Director to help create meaningful experiences that encourage resident participation, connection, independence, and joy.
The ideal candidate is energetic, compassionate, creative, and enjoys building relationships with seniors while helping create a fun and engaging community environment.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with planning and leading daily resident activities and events
  • Support social, recreational, educational, spiritual, and therapeutic programming
  • Encourage resident participation and engagement in activities
  • Build positive relationships with residents and families
  • Assist with transporting residents to activities, events, and outings
  • Help coordinate community outings and special events
  • Prepare activity spaces and supplies for scheduled programming
  • Maintain activity calendars and assist with documentation as needed
  • Work collaboratively with leadership and community teams
  • Support a positive, welcoming, and engaging environment for residents

Qualifications
  • Previous activities, recreation, senior living, caregiving, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred
  • Assisted living or memory care experience strongly preferred
  • Compassionate and resident-focused attitude
  • Creative, energetic, and outgoing personality
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Flexible availability including weekends and holidays as needed
  • Valid driver's license preferred for community outings and transportation support
