We have an immediate opening for an Electrical Project Engineer within our Electrical department located in Brookfield, WI or Madison, WI. We are in search of team members who will provide exceptional service to our clients.

The successful candidate will:

Perform electrical engineering design calculations, technical comparisons and similar technical work as directed. Prepare studies and reports to evaluate systems and options.

Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering concepts and procedures.

Review drawings supplied by vendors and clients and provides the appropriate engineering solutions to incorporate the design.

Prepare complete construction documents that match the client and project team's requirements.

Coordinate design with other disciplines.

Review shop drawings under the supervision of the Sr. Project Engineer or Project Manager.

Recommend changes or modifications to projects as appropriate.

Respond to RFI's and prepare CB's under supervision.

Conduct job site surveys, field observations and develops project punch lists under supervision.

Coordinate project assignments with other engineers and technicians in the same department.

Delegate work tasks to Designers, and BIM Technicians.

Draw and design simultaneously on complex projects.

Research code issues and document findings and reports to supervising engineer.

Interact with clients as level of experience progresses.

Assist in the education and development of design staff and act as a resource for questions.

Assist with technical studies and assessments.

Perform other duties as assigned.

You will need:

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent combination of education and/or

experience

5+ years of experience with an engineering consulting firm or an AIE firm preferred

Professional license, or the ability to obtain licensure preferred

Experience in healthcare is a plus

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Ability to organize and plan efficiently and manage multiple tasks

Proficiency with Revit software, as well as excellent skills in Microsoft Suite of products

Familiarity with electrical analysis software
