We are looking for adaptable, highly motivated engineers to join the Plexus Technical Execution & Development (TED) Program. The TED Program deploys technical experts to critical manufacturing sites to ensure our most complex product launches succeed. If you have the desire to travel and the drive to become a future technical leader, we have the platform to get you there. The mission is twofold:

1. Execution: To expand the technical bandwidth of Customer Focus Teams (CFT's) and accelerate NPI execution during critical launch phases.

2. Development: To forge highly skilled, adaptable engineers through multi-site exposure to critical NPI launches across various market sectors , establishing a solid foundation for potential future leadership and Subject Matter Expert (SME) roles.

Key Job Accountabilities:

  • Tactical Deployment: Relocate to key manufacturing sites (Appleton WI, Boise ID, Chicago IL, Neenah WI) for temporary assignments (typically 3-12 months) aligned with critical NPI program needs.

  • NPI Execution: Provide immediate, on-the-ground technical support by integrating with the CFT team and reporting to the site NPI Engineering Leader.

  • Focused Support: Contribute to one or more of the following NPI focus areas based on business priority:

    • Product Engineering: Support validation activity, failure analysis, and create & manage work instructions and process flows.

    • Process Engineering: Assist in developing and qualifying new manufacturing processes and tooling.

    • Supplier Quality Engineering: Assist with component qualification and supplier issue resolution.

    • Quality Engineering: Support quality planning, validation activity, data analysis, and corrective actions.

    • Test Engineering: Help validate and support test platform commissioning and performance.

  • Mentorship & Development: Actively engage with dedicated mentorship from the NPI Engineering Leader and NPI SMEs to rapidly develop technical and professional skills.

  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and help implement process improvements and feed best practices back to the NPI and SME teams.

Education/Experience Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent experience, is required.

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent experience, and 1-2 years of relevant work experience, is preferred.

  • Ideal candidates may have a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Biomedical Engineering, but other technical backgrounds will be considered.

  • This program is designed for engineers that have a drive to deliver results in a fast paced environment, are open to inter-disciplinary assignments, and interested in developing subject matter expertise for new product introductions.
