SMG Engineers is looking to add a mid-level Structural and/or Mechanical Engineer to our skilled team of dedicated design professionals for full-time, in-person work in our Beaverton, Oregon (or Missoula, Montana) office.

Qualifications

  • Strong communications and teamwork skills
  • Structural or Mechanical design experience
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering
  • Professional Engineering License (If applying for a Structural position, a SE license or desire to obtain a SE license is preferred.)

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and design industrial systems utilizing code references, computer modeling and hand checks
  • Review and prepare engineering calculations
  • Coordinate with clients, subconsultants, and internal team members
  • Mentor less experienced engineers and assist their development as engineers
  • Be an active part of the collaborative environment that we strive to promote at SMG
  • Maintain organization of documents, budgets, schedules, and correspondence throughout the lifecycle of tasked projects
