Human Resources Generalist

Reports To: Senior Operations Support Manager

Position Summary
The Human Resources Generalist supports the daily administration of Human Resources programs and processes across the organization. This role serves as a key resource for employees and managers regarding HR policies, benefits, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, and compliance activities. The position also assists with employment-based immigration processes and works closely with leadership, employees, corporate headquarters, and external service providers to ensure efficient and compliant HR operations.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, service-focused, and capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
This role is ideal for an experienced HR Coordinator seeking advancement into a Generalist role or an early-career HR Generalist looking to expand their experience in employee relations, compliance, performance management, and employment-based immigration support.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Human Resources Administration
  • Coordinate employee onboarding, orientation, and offboarding activities.
  • Maintain employee records, personnel files, and HR systems to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Process employee status changes, compensation updates, and organizational changes.
  • Assist employees with questions regarding policies, benefits, payroll, timekeeping, and company programs.
  • Prepare employment-related documentation, including offer letters, employment verification requests, and employee communications.
  • Support annual HR processes such as performance reviews, compensation planning, benefits enrollment, and compliance reporting.
  • Maintain HR documentation in accordance with company retention requirements and legal standards.
Employee Relations & Manager Support
  • Serve as a first point of contact for routine employee relations matters and workplace concerns.
  • Provide guidance to employees and managers regarding company policies, procedures, and HR programs.
  • Assist with investigations, corrective action documentation, employee coaching discussions, and conflict resolution efforts.
  • Support the administration of performance improvement plans and other performance management initiatives.
  • Escalate complex employee relations issues to HR leadership as appropriate.
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
  • Coordinate recruiting activities including job postings, candidate screening, interview scheduling, and applicant tracking.
  • Support hiring managers throughout the recruitment process.
  • Coordinate pre-employment activities, including background checks, drug screenings, and onboarding requirements.
  • Assist with workforce planning initiatives and recruiting process improvements.
  • Maintain recruitment records and hiring metrics.
Immigration & Global Mobility Support
  • Assist with employment-based immigration processes, including visa renewals, status tracking, and documentation collection.
  • Coordinate with employees, management, corporate headquarters, and external immigration counsel to support immigration case activities.
  • Maintain immigration records and ensure timely completion of required documentation and reporting.
  • Monitor visa expiration dates and support compliance with applicable immigration requirements.
  • Serve as an internal resource regarding immigration process requirements and timelines.
Compliance & Policy Administration
  • Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Assist with policy updates, handbook revisions, and HR procedure documentation.
  • Coordinate required labor law postings, compliance notices, and employee acknowledgments.
  • Support internal audits and compliance reviews by maintaining accurate HR records and documentation.
  • Assist with HR reporting and workforce data analysis as needed.
Performance Management & Employee Development
  • Administer performance management processes and systems, including Teamflect and related tools.
  • Monitor review completion, goal tracking, and performance documentation.
  • Support employee development initiatives, training programs, and leadership development activities.
  • Assist managers with performance documentation and employee development planning.
Benefits Administration
  • Support employee benefits administration, including enrollments, qualifying life events, terminations, and employee inquiries.
  • Coordinate with insurance brokers, carriers, and benefit vendors.
  • Assist with annual open enrollment activities and employee education efforts.
  • Maintain benefits records and related documentation.

Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2-5 years of progressive Human Resources experience.
  • Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Experience supporting recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, and HR administration functions.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and HR information systems.
Preferred
  • Experience supporting employment-based immigration processes, including E-2, L-1, B-1, or other work authorization programs.
  • Experience working with multinational organizations or global teams.
  • Familiarity with performance management systems such as Teamflect.
  • Experience with ADP or similar HRIS/payroll platforms.
  • SHRM-CP, PHR, or progress toward professional HR certification.

  • Occasional lifting of office materials up to 25 pounds.
  • Occasional travel may be required for company meetings, training, or project support.
