Job description

Location: Main Office 1939 Division S, Grand Rapids, MI 49507

Organization: Family Outreach Center

Position Type: Part-Time

Hourly Pay Range: $20-25/hour

The Part-Time Payroll Administrator supports Family Outreach Center by ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees. Reporting directly to the Human Resources Manager, this position manages payroll functions, maintains payroll and timekeeping systems, and ensures compliance with agency policies and federal and state regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Process semi-monthly payroll including validating timesheets, PTO usage, and payroll allocations.
• Maintain employee payroll records, including pay rates, deductions, and benefits enrollments.
• Reconcile payroll reports and assist with payroll-related journal entries as needed.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for payroll-related questions from staff and supervisors.
• Ensure compliance with FLSA, IRS regulations, and internal payroll controls.
• Support onboarding and offboarding tasks related to payroll setup and termination.
• Coordinate with HR regarding employee status changes, benefits deductions, and leave tracking.
• Assist the Director of Finance with audits, compliance reporting, and year-end processes, including W-2 preparation.
• Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive employee payroll and HR data at all times.
