The opportunity.

As a member of the Emerging Markets (EM) Sales team, you will work within an experienced and expert team growing the demand for our electronic trading platform. You will be responsible for buyside and sellside client relationship management, including identification of new prospect accounts, on-boarding and managing on-going relationships. You will speak to EM clients, creating awareness around liquidity and trading activity. You will be responsible for demoing the platform and assisting clients execute trades on the platform. A successful candidate will have the ability to develop, grow and maintain relationships. You should have strong communication skills to teach clients how to use the technology and demonstrate the benefits to their workflow. You should be a proactive self-starter, hardworking and possess strong critical thinking skills to enhance participation on the platform and increase revenue. 

This role is based in our New York City office and operates under a hybrid work model. Given the highly collaborative nature of the Emerging Markets Sales team, team members are expected to be in the office four (4) days per week, with the flexibility to work remotely up to one (1) day per week, subject to business needs.

What will you do?

  • Become highly attuned to the pulse of the market: key geopolitical and company news and events; buyer vs seller imbalances; general trends in credit and fixed income markets overall.
  • Be resourceful, using market intelligence to identify opportunities to help our clients address their risk needs.
  • Consistently and energetically engage with traders to determine their priorities weekly, daily and intraday.
  • Develop a deep understanding of how to gauge supply and demand for EM sovereign and corporate credits in real time, including how to estimate moves at the market open and sensitivity to certain macro events.
  • Learn and master the Trumid product offering so you can direct traders to the optimal workflow for their respective trading priorities
  • Develop, maintain and deepen relationships with traders via desk visits, social outings and group events.
  • Leverage your curiosity and relationships to help make the Trumid platform better: solicit feedback and generate ideas for new and innovative workflow solutions
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm for problem-solving and workflow solutions.  Demonstrate openness and capacity to learn and apply AI to streamline Trumid's daily processes as well as those of our clients. 

About you.

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; however, candidates from all academic backgrounds with a strong interest in financial markets are encouraged to apply
  • 1-5 years' experience in markets facing role
  • Series 7 and Series 63
  • Enthusiasm for markets, trading, credit and FinTech with desire to expand knowledge of fixed income products
  • Strong business acumen and decision making; curiosity and willingness to learn how the business functions strategically
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills; relentlessness, incredible follow-up skills and ability to navigate and operate in a fast-paced environment - must be a proactive, self-starter
  • Ability to work effectively in a team - someone who is collaborative, committed, flexible and reliable with a strong "can do" attitude
  • Must be willing to travel domestically for in-person client meetings and events; and be available to join and host after-working-hours client entertainment
  • Familiarity with AI tools and a curiosity for how emerging technologies can enhance workflows, automate repetitive tasks, and drive smarter decision-making

In compliance with New York City Pay Transparency Law, the base salary range for this role in New York City is between $95,000 - $150,000. This range does not include discretionary bonus or other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with this job. Several factors are considered when determining a candidate's compensation.
