REGIONAL SALES MANAGER - EMERGING MARKETS

Reports to: GM of Emerging Markets

Position Type: Full Time, Regular

Job Classification: Exempt, Sales

The Regional Sales Manager, Emerging Markets is responsible for driving growth in the emerging markets division through outside sales activities. This role manages relationships with independent manufacturer representatives and collaborates on joint sales calls with contractors, engineers, and distributors. The position requires significant travel, with approximately 40% overnight.

  • Grow end-user base while increasing sales revenue in assigned territory.
  • Identify and develop new market opportunities
  • Build and maintain a network of sources to generate new sales leads.
  • Communicate with customers to identify and understand product/service needs; identify, present, and demonstrate solutions to meet those needs.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management.
  • Maintain reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship issues.
  • Set-up, staff, and pack-up product display at various industry events.
  • Provide periodic sales forecasts.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Proven self-starter with entrepreneurial mind-set and can work independently.
  • Ability to provide industry knowledge and technical skills to assigned network of customers, end users and distributors.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with stakeholders both inside and outside the organization.
  • Ability to partner with and influence others.
  • Flexibility for overnight travel 40% of the time.
  • Ability to thrive working in a small, innovative team environment.
Qualifications
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree or equivalent level of combined education and experience.
  • 3+ years of outside B2B sales experience, plumbing and HVAC/R industry is a plus.
  • Experience in technical sales techniques.
  • Language skills: English proficiency required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams) and experience with CRM software.
Physical Requirements
  • Sitting/standing for long periods of time, with occasional lifting of office products and files
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English to read, comprehend, speak and hear
  • Work activity is moderately strenuous with moderate risk.
  • Lift and move materials up to 40 pounds on an occasional basis.
  • Manual dexterity to demonstrate product use.
