RETAIL DISTRICT MANAGER (PM/EVENING) – JOB DESCRIPTION

Retail District Manager (PM/EVENING) Responsibilities:

The Retail District Manager (PM/EVENING) has the ultimate responsibility for supporting and leading the retail stores and washes on the PM/Evening shift by setting the example for the team. The Retail District Manager (PM/EVENING) works to continually improve the operational systems, processes and policies in collaboration with all Regional Managers, District Managers and Safety Team in support of the Mission and Vision statements. The Retail District Manager (PM/EVENING) is responsible for developing the team with a positive attitude and great work habits. The Retail District Manager (PM/EVENING) supports and leads a group of Store Managers, Co-Managers and Shift Supervisors, with overall responsibility for the PM/Evening shift, and reports directly to the Regional Manager.

Retail District Manager (PM/EVENING) duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Train, develop and support Store Managers, Co-Managers and Shift Supervisors on operational objectives and priorities
  • Train, develop and support Store Managers, Co-Managers and Shift Supervisors to ensure future positions are staffed with capable employees
  • Meet and exceed key performance indicators such as sales, profit, waste, and managing controllable expenses
  • Provide support and leadership to a team of Store Managers, Co-Managers and Shift Supervisors to attain Company targets for sales, expenses, training, turnover, and profitability of each store location
  • Set an example by assisting customers with their needs while demonstrating concern and a sense of urgency
  • Maintain relationships with customers, associates, and vendors, treating all fairly and with respect
  • Efficiently execute the Company’s Mission/Vision statement, corporate strategy, goals, and objectives
  • Foster a work environment where good performance is recognized and rewarded
  • Enforce Company rules, procedures, and policies at all times
  • Handle and act on all disciplinary issues/areas of concern according to Company policy in collaboration with the Regional Manager, District Manager and Human Resources; investigate the loss of Company assets or suspected loss of Company assets in collaboration with the Safety Specialist, Regional Manager, District Manager and Human Resources
  • Maintain general appearance and cleanliness of store premises; delegate duties as needed
  • Merchandise, keep records, train on paperwork, discipline and direct the team
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for all customers and associates; follow proper incident reporting procedures
  • Possess a strong knowledge of retail equipment, maintenance of equipment, and contact maintenance when needed
  • Perform nightly store audits at a rate of one district per PM/Evening shift

Experience/Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Two (2) years of multi unit retail management experience
  • Able to obtain ServSafe certification
  • Able to obtain IDEM certification
  • Portray a positive attitude and great work habits at all times
  • Lift up to 50 pounds
  • Stand for long periods of time, up to 10 hours
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining 100% customer focus
  • Strong mathematics skills

Preferred Skills:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
  • Customer service experience

Hours:

The Retail District Manager (PM/EVENING) is a full time position and works a minimum of 40 hours per week.

Salary/Income:

The Retail District Manager (PM/Evening) is an exempt, salaried position
