Job description

Location: California Contract Type: Travel Setting: Emergency Department Position Overview Weโ€™re seeking an experienced Emergency Room RN with leadership experience to support departmental operations, staff oversight, and patient care. This travel role blends hands-on clinical work with charge/managerial responsibilities in a fast-paced ER setting. What Youโ€™ll Do Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department as needed Support staff performance, scheduling, and day-to-day operations Coach, guide, and discipline staff when appropriate, following hospital policy Conduct informal performance feedback and assist with formal evaluations Ensure staff competency, appropriate assignments, and ongoing education Promote a positive, professional, and compliant work environment Monitor supplies, equipment usage, and operational efficiency Support budget awareness and cost-conscious decision making Step into leadership and problem-solving situations as they arise Required Qualifications Active California RN license Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room experience Prior charge or leadership experience strongly preferred Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS Strong clinical judgment and ability to lead in high-acuity situations Physical & Work Requirements Ability to stand/walk for extended shifts Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 35 lbs Comfortable working in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment Able to supervise, delegate, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams Why This Assignment Leadership-focused travel opportunity Hands-on clinical + charge responsibilities Supportive hospital environment Opportunity to make an immediate impact
