Job description

We are interested in every qualified candidate who is eligible to work in the United States. However, we are not able to sponsor visas or take over sponsorship at this time.
About the role:
Are you interested in working for one of the leading financial technology companies in Chicago? Come join Enova as a marketing leader to support our fast growing OnDeck brand.
At Enova, we understand the power of effective lifecycle marketing and how it drives long-term customer relationships and business growth. We're looking for a passionate and innovative Email Marketing Manager who is eager to build and grow our Lifecycle Marketing team to enhance customer engagement and retention throughout their entire journey.
Do you obsess over testing cadence, segmentation strategy, and what each campaign actually contributed to revenue? So do we! Our marketing team is data-rich and directly connected to business outcomes. You'll build and deploy campaigns hands-on in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, run a disciplined A/B testing program, and partner closely with our MarTech team on platform capabilities, while staying accountable for what gets sent, to whom, and whether it drives a funded loan.
The Email Marketing Manager will join our Small Business Team (OnDeck and Headway Capital) reporting to the Head of Marketing, SMB and will be responsible for driving units, volume, and efficiency through email and SMS programs across the full customer journey. You'll manage a team, so you'll be both an executor and a developer of talent. If you're passionate about owning a channel, moving business metrics, and building a testing culture over time, this is the role for you!
Responsibilities:
  • Develop the strategic direction for comprehensive consumer lifecycle strategies across email and SMS, from design and implementation to ongoing maintenance and optimization, driving conversion, volume, and efficiency from lead acquisition through renewal and win-back.
  • Build and deploy campaigns and customer experiences directly in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, owning hands-on execution across audience segmentation, journey logic, and send cadence.
  • Develop and maintain an A/B testing program covering subject lines, CTAs, offer structure, send frequency, and segments with a focus on driving business results.
  • Write or closely direct creative briefs and campaign copy that resonate with small business owners across industries and stages of the customer lifecycle.
  • Partner with MarTech and MarOps to align on platform architecture, automation capabilities, and new tooling, translating business needs into scalable channel executions.
  • Manage lifecycle forecasting, budget, and performance reporting, working with Analytics to connect channel activity to lending outcomes and maintain clear visibility into what the channel is producing and where to optimize.
  • Develop, maintain, and scale customer-centric campaigns that drive awareness, conversion, onboarding, continued engagement with OnDeck, and education about our Term Loan and Line of Credit products.
  • Collaborate with Product, Sales, Operations, Customer Service, Analytics, and Creative teams to ensure alignment of messaging, touchpoints, and features across the customer and merchant journey, while solving for consumer needs, conversion, and loyalty at scale.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • 8+ years in email marketing, lifecycle marketing, or CRM, with a track record of running high-volume programs where business results were the scoreboard.
  • Backgrounds in fintech, financial services, e-commerce, or subscription businesses are strongly preferred.
  • Hands-on experience building and deploying campaigns in Salesforce Marketing Cloud or a comparable ESP (Braze, Klaviyo, Iterable). You don't need to be a developer, but you need to be comfortable in the platform.
  • A disciplined approach to A/B testing: you know what you're testing, why it matters, and how to build on what you learn over time.
  • Strong segmentation and data analysis skills, with the ability to use insights to continuously improve targeting, messaging, and program design.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional skills, including the ability to write a solid creative brief, align stakeholders, and push back when something doesn't serve the customer or the business.
  • Self-motivated and organized, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and priorities and drive projects to completion.
  • Comfortable leading teams through ambiguity: allowing you and your team to pivot seamlessly, embrace change, and uncover opportunities in a dynamic business environment.
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications are a plus.

The budgeted annual salary range for this position is $120,000 to $160,000. Actual annual salary will be determined based on qualifications, skills, experience, and level assessed during the hiring process and may fall outside of the range shown.
