This position is remote - candidate must reside within the United States.
NY, NJ, PA, CT area preferred.

The eMail Marketing Supervisor serves as a key operational lead within the email marketing department, overseeing the day-to-day execution, organization, and optimization of the email channel. This role is responsible for managing the email marketing roadmap, automation and triggered email initiatives, coordinating campaign execution, and monitoring channel performance and reporting.

This position plays an important role in evolving the email program through process improvements, testing, platform optimization, and data-driven insights, while ensuring accurate and timely deployment of campaigns across the customer lifecycle.

This person will possess/perform the following:

  • Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages professional growth.
  • Manage recurring email performance reporting and provide actionable insights to guide campaign, merchandising, and marketing decisions.
  • Oversee the day-to-day execution of email campaigns to ensure alignment with brand standards, promotional priorities, and deployment schedules.
  • Maintain a centralized marketing calendar across all channels to align email initiatives with product launches, promotions, and broader company objectives.
  • Provide backup support for campaign setup, QA, testing, and deployment during peak periods or team absences to ensure operational continuity.
  • Facilitate weekly email team meetings to streamline workflows, resolve production bottlenecks, and support creative review processes.
  • Drive ongoing optimization of email marketing platforms, automation processes, testing initiatives, and operational workflows.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for ESP platforms and related third-party email marketing vendors and tools.
  • Own the email merchandising strategy, including guidelines, product selection, and design approvals.
  • Execute A/B testing initiatives and lead optimization efforts related to subject lines, creative assets, deployment timing, engagement performance, and emerging email marketing technologies, including AI-driven capabilities.
  • Support the growth and evolution of lifecycle marketing programs and automated customer journeys.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced marketing environment that requires strong organizational skills, analytical thinking, operational leadership, and attention to detail. This individual will be highly collaborative, proactive, and comfortable balancing strategic initiatives with hands-on execution.

The person in this role will have a strong understanding of email marketing best practices, customer engagement strategies, and data-driven decision making.

Collaboration with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Creative, Merchandising, eCommerce, and IT will be instrumental in ensuring successful campaign execution and continuous improvement of the email channel.

Required Skills:

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in email marketing or digital marketing operations.
  • Strong experience planning, building, testing, and deploying email campaigns within email service providers (ESPs) such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Klaviyo, Mailchimp, or similar platforms.
  • Experience supporting high-volume email campaign execution, automation initiatives, QA processes, deployment scheduling, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Ability to analyze email performance metrics and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Experience supporting platform optimization efforts, automation processes, testing initiatives, and evaluation of new email marketing tools and capabilities.
  • Working knowledge of email deliverability best practices, inbox placement trends, and evolving email marketing industry standards.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Ability to mentor and develop team members while fostering a collaborative and accountable work environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across departments.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy, workflow efficiency, campaign execution, and operational excellence.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
