Job Description
Looking for a UX Designer who understands how businesses buy.
If you've designed digital experiences for B2B ecommerce platforms, understand complex purchasing journeys, and enjoy turning customer insights into seamless online buying experiences, we'd like to meet you!
Join our team and play a key role in a major digital transformation and brand transformation initiative, helping shape the future of our ecommerce experience for industrial customers across North America. This position works closely with the eCommerce Product Owner and cross-functional stakeholders to improve usability, accessibility, engagement, and conversion across our digital platforms.
Location Requirement - This position is based in Southfield, Michigan.
To support collaboration with the business and project teams, candidates must:
  • Reside within approximately 30 miles of Southfield, MI
  • Be able to work in the Southfield office at least 3 days per week
  • Be comfortable working in a hybrid environment

What You'll Do
The eCommerce UX Designer will work directly alongside the eCommerce Product Owner and partner with business, product, and technology teams to create user-centered experiences that drive measurable business results.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design intuitive user experiences for a growing B2B ecommerce platform.
  • Translate complex business requirements into engaging, easy-to-use digital shopping experiences.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and interaction models.
  • Conduct user research, usability testing, interviews, surveys, and analytics reviews.
  • Leverage qualitative and quantitative insights to improve customer experiences and conversion paths.
  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business stakeholders to deliver impactful design solutions.
  • Participate in design reviews, brainstorming sessions, and cross-functional workshops.
  • Monitor KPIs, customer behavior, and site performance to identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Plan and execute A/B testing initiatives to improve engagement and conversion rates.
  • Ensure accessibility and usability standards are incorporated into all design solutions.
  • Contribute to digital and brand transformation projects that will shape the future of our online customer experience.

Required Qualifications - Must-Have Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, UX Design, or a related field.
  • 3-5+ years of professional UX/UI design experience.
  • Hands-on experience designing B2B ecommerce experiences.
  • Experience supporting complex purchasing journeys, large product catalogs, and industrial/commercial buying experiences.
  • Experience conducting user research and translating findings into design improvements.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing ecommerce UX work, wireframes, prototypes, and customer journey designs.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders, product teams, and developers.

Preferred Experience
  • Experience working with manufacturing, industrial, distribution, wholesale, or other B2B organizations.
  • Experience with Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar design tools.
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Knowledge of WCAG accessibility standards and best practices.

Job Compensation
$82,500+/year (Based on Expereience) + Perfromance Incentive Compensation
