Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Ecommerce Architect to lead the design and evolution of our next-generation digital commerce platform supporting both B2B and B2C experiences across Web, Mobile, and API-driven ecosystems.

This role requires a forward-thinking architect who can combine modern commerce architecture (headless/composable) with an AI-first mindset, leveraging emerging technologies such as Generative AI, Agentic workflows, and real-time personalization to drive business outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive end-to-end architecture for scalable, high-performance eCommerce platforms.
  • Design composable / headless commerce architectures leveraging API-first and microservices principles.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable, extensible technical blueprints.
  • Establish domain-driven design and bounded contexts across commerce capabilities (catalog, pricing, checkout, fulfillment, etc.).

AI & Innovation Leadership

  • Define and implement AI-driven capabilities such as:
  • Product recommendations & personalization
  • Intelligent search & discovery
  • Conversational commerce (chat/voice agents)
  • Agentic workflows (AI-driven automation across systems)
  • Embed GenAI into SDLC (code generation, test automation, documentation, debugging).
  • Partner with data teams to enable real-time decisioning using behavioral and transactional data.
  • Evaluate and integrate AI platforms (Azure OpenAI, vector databases, LLM orchestration frameworks).

Integration & Ecosystem

  • Architect integrations with ERP (Agility / similar), PIM (InRiver or equivalent), CMS (Contentful or headless CMS), Search (Klevu or equivalent), Payment gateways & fraud systems, and Fulfillment & logistics systems.
  • Design event-driven architectures using streaming or messaging platforms.
  • Enable API-first platform strategy to support internal and external consumers.

Performance, Scalability & Reliability

  • Design systems optimized for high traffic and peak season readiness, low latency and strong Core Web Vitals, and high availability and fault tolerance.
  • Establish caching, CDN, and edge delivery strategies.
  • Define observability strategy (monitoring, logging, tracing).

Cloud & DevOps

  • Lead architecture on Azure cloud ecosystem including Azure App Services, Functions, Storage, CDN, and Cosmos DB.
  • Define CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and DevOps best practices.
  • Ensure secure, compliant, and scalable cloud-native deployments.
