The Project Manager will work closely with Business Development Directors, Application Engineers, OEM partners, and affiliate sales teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in alignment with customer expectations. This is a highly visible role that plays a critical part in protecting margins, managing risk, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of coordination between OEM partners, contractors, field sales teams, and internal engineering teams.
  • Track project schedules, equipment lead times, and delivery milestones to ensure schedules align with construction timelines.
  • Coordinate submittals, approvals, change orders, and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Proactively identify risks related to schedule, scope, or supply chain constraints and work with stakeholders to mitigate issues.
  • Support the resolution of field issues, delivery challenges, and customer escalations as they arise.

OEM & Vendor Coordination
  • Interface directly with OEM project teams to confirm order status, production schedules, and logistics.
  • Ensure all required documentation, including submittals, drawings, startup requirements, and warranty information, is complete and accurate.
  • Coordinate factory startup support, commissioning assistance, and service readiness as required by the project.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with OEM counterparts to support long-term partnership success.

Internal Collaboration
  • Partner with Application Engineering to ensure project intent aligns with approved designs and submittals.
  • Support Business Development Directors and sales teams during the handoff from pursuit to execution.
  • Communicate clearly and regularly with internal stakeholders regarding project status, risks, and next steps.
  • Assist with close-out documentation and lessons learned to improve future project execution.

Process & Continuous Improvement
  • Follow standardized project management milestone processes and tools to track project health and performance.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of best practices for managing large, multi-phase data center projects.
  • Support the adoption of CRM and ERP tools and dashboards that improve visibility and coordination across teams.

Qualifications
  • 5-8 years of experience in project management within HVAC, mechanical systems, or other manufacturer's representative organizations.
  • Experience supporting data center, commercial, healthcare, industrial, or other technically complex construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC equipment, submittals, lead times, and construction workflows.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities.
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Experience & Traits
  • Prior experience working for or with an independent manufacturer's representative, OEM, mechanical contractor, or general contractor.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growth-oriented organization with evolving processes.
  • Calm, professional demeanor when handling customer and project challenges.
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability for outcomes.
