Help shape the future of online and hybrid learning at North Idaho College. The Instructional Designer II / eLearning Coordinator leads the daily operations of eLearning while providing instructional design expertise and support to faculty and academic divisions. This role plays a key part in strengthening online teaching and learning through course development, faculty training, and continuous improvement of digital learning experiences.

In this position, you will collaborate with faculty and staff to design, develop, and evaluate instructional materials for online, hybrid, and face-to-face courses. You will provide individualized and group support to instructors integrating educational technologies, and design training sessions, workshops, and resources that enhance teaching effectiveness. You will oversee eLearning workflows, coordinate instructional design projects, and ensure course quality through established standards for accessibility, Regular and Substantive Interaction, and instructional best practices. This role also supervises assigned staff, including hiring, training, performance management, and day-to-day coordination of eLearning operations.

We are looking for someone with strong leadership skills who can guide projects, support a team environment, and influence continuous improvement in teaching and learning practices. The ideal candidate brings instructional design expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build effective relationships with faculty and staff. Experience in online course design and redesign, a solid understanding of learning technologies and LMS platforms, and the ability to troubleshoot and solve complex instructional challenges are essential. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to accessibility and quality learning experiences are also required.ย

Bachelor's degree and two years full-time equivalent related experience, to include team leadership and course design/development in an education or corporate setting is required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
