Purpose:
Responsible to provide reception, administrative, and facilities coordination support for Calvary Church by welcoming and assisting guests, answering and directing telephone calls, supporting church office operations, coordinating facility scheduling and event logistics, and utilizing their abilities and experience to support church ministries as they encourage others to pursue life in Christ.


Working Relationship:

Accountable to the Senior Pastor with direct supervision by thePastor ofOperations and Projects.A member of the Support Staff andappropriate teamsas assigned.


Qualification:

  • Educational qualifications requireminimum of aHigh School Diploma
  • Competency inmulti-tasking,organization and managementofevents and schedules
  • Organizational abilities to manage a wide range of ministry needs
  • Good communicationskills (written and verbal)
  • Possess computer skills and be able to navigate through basic computer functionsand programs such as applications in Microsoft OfficeandeSPACE,scheduling software.
  • An ability to be a team-player within the staffandvolunteers
  • Ability to learn the intricacies for using the church phone system and training others

One Sentence Job Description

As the welcoming first point of contact for Calvary Church, this role serves as a vital connection between church members, guests, vendors, community contacts, and church staff by creating a hospitable, organized, and professional environment that supports the mission and ministries of the church.


Receptionist

  • Welcome and direct guests either in person or by phone.
  • Process mail and manage the mail room.
  • Assistwithscreeningand directingall benevolencecalls/requeststoCalvary Churchoptions or direct them toappropriatecommunitypartners
  • Assist Educational Scholarshipprocessingandbasic information updates to My Calvary.
  • Complete weekly Sunday AM attendance process and any special services as requested.
  • Work withthe Receptionistsand otheradministrativestaffat Calvarytoensure the Reception Desk is staffed whenrequired.
  • InformtheBereavement, AV, FacilitiesandCommunicationsteamswhenweschedule a funeral or wedding.
  • Perform work assigned bythe supervisor.

Facilities

  • Oversee event requests and obtain approvals in coordination withappropriate teams(Facilities, Tech, Banquet, etc.)
  • Enter all approved event details intoeSPACEwith the goal of making the event information self-supporting
  • Communicate as necessary with event owners-internalplanningand externalcontracts when needed
  • Require staff to fully utilizeeSPACEto document their expectations
  • In coordination with the custodial supervisor and banquet coordinator, prepare and lead weekly Event Teammeetingsto highlightspecial events, criticalturnoversand to discuss large or unique event requests.
  • Create contracts and invoices for groups using Calvary Church facilities.

  • Pray for the ministry of the church and represent the church positively in the community

Work Schedule and Time Allotment

Workschedule:8-4:30 Monday thru Thursday and as needed for various programs and projects.

To bemanagedand accounted for in cooperation withdesignatedsupervisor.


Physical and Mental Requirements

Light physical work requirements (lifting10-20lbs.),sitting, prolonged standing,potentialreaching,climbing, prolonged positionsand prolonged looking at monitors and computer screens
andoperatinga mouse and keyboard.
