Donations Associate

SUMMARY OF POSITION

The Donations Associate is responsible for greeting all donors/customers in a friendly and courteous manner. The Donations Associate is responsible for accepting donations, assisting with unloading donations, and presorting donations. The Donations Associate is expected to be courteous and professional while upholding the core Goodwill values of -Empowerment, Public Trust, Respect, Innovation, Quality, and Safety.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES, AND DUTIES

Accept donations from the general public and assist in sorting based on established program guidelines

Provide donation receipt upon request from the donor

Provide excellent customer service

Maintains a clean, organized work area that is presentable to the general public and meets agency standards

Attend scheduled meetings as required

Perform custodial duties as necessary

Adhere to and enforce all safety and loss prevention procedures to prevent injury to others or him/herself and damage to any property, equipment, and/or inventory

Embrace the core values of the agency in the spirit in which the agency operates at work and in the community

Contribute to the fulfillment of department and agency objectives and goals

Comply with all department and agency policies, procedures, and regulations

Perform other duties as assigned

Demonstrate a professional mannerism with a high degree of customer service skills

Ability to communicate effectively with internal employees and external customers

Ability to work well with others in a respectful and collaborative work manner

Ability to comprehend and follow instructions

PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS

Ability to stand, walk, climb, kneel, stoop, bend, and crouch for extended periods

Weather conditions - variable - including extreme heat and cold, may work outside for extended periods

Ability to work in a humid and/or dusty environment

Able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. or more with 2-person assistance
