BCforward is currently seeking highly motivated Clerk V in Worcester, MA 01606


Position Title: Engineering Data Administrator

Location: Durham, NC 27709

Shift Timing: Mon-Friday, 40.00 Hours Per Week

Duration: 24 Months Contract with the Possibility to be Extended

Pay Rate: $27.00/hr. on W2

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Engineering Document Control
  • Maintain and organize engineering drawings, models, specifications, and documentation within document management systems.
  • Manage document revisions, version control, and release processes to ensure accuracy and data integrity.
  • Enforce document control standards, including file naming conventions, metadata tagging, and archiving procedures.
  • Support internal audits and compliance activities related to engineering documentation and records management.
  • Ensure engineering records remain accurate, accessible, and properly controlled.

CAD Administration & Drafting

  • Create, modify, and update 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD and related CAD software.
  • Perform redline updates and incorporate engineering changes into official drawing packages.
  • Maintain CAD standards, templates, layers, symbols, and drafting best practices.
  • Support Facilities teams with office seating assignments and facility layout documentation.
  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of engineering drawings and associated documentation.

Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Conduct quality reviews and checks on engineering drawings and documents.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry drafting standards.
  • Standardize drawing formats, annotations, symbols, and documentation practices.
  • Maintain accurate records of revisions and engineering changes.
  • Collaboration & Support
  • Collaborate with Facilities, Human Resources, project teams, and other stakeholders to manage engineering documentation updates and releases.
  • Ensure stakeholders have access to the latest approved revisions and controlled documents.
  • Provide guidance and training on document control procedures and CAD standards when required.
  • Support departmental initiatives related to facilities planning and engineering data management.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree in Engineering Technology, Drafting, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in engineering document control, drafting, or CAD administration.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD drafting and editing for both 2D and 3D drawings.
  • Experience with document control systems, revision management, version control, and engineering data administration.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform quality reviews and ensure documentation accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple teams.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills in a deadline-driven environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working within engineering, construction, manufacturing, or facilities management environments.
  • Familiarity with ANSI, ISO, and ASME drafting and documentation standards.
  • Basic understanding of engineering design principles and drafting methodologies.
  • Experience supporting facilities management and space planning activities.
