Job Description:

L3Harris Technologies, Inc.is seeing aDocument Control Specialistin its Herndon VA location. The Document Control Specialist have custodialresponsibility for safeguarding and accounting of controlled documents.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintaining an organized and detailedinventoryofcontrolleddocumentation primarily usinga security management system

  • Administration and control of documents that are received,transmitted, and destroyed asapart ofworking in a secure environment.

  • Conduct physical inventory of assets,identifyanomalies, andinitiatecorrective actionsin accordance withestablished procedures.

  • Review documents, media, or hardware todetermineproper classification markingsin accordance withthe Information Security Oversight Office (ISOO), contract(s), or security manuals.

  • Input controlled media into material databases.Manage dispatch and receipt requirements for inspection purposes.

  • Process incoming and outgoing mail to include hand-carrying shipments to local postal office.

  • Provide security briefings, debriefings, and awareness training for site personnel

  • Review the details and requirements issued in formal DD254 contractsto support contract close out efforts.

  • Assistwith the destruction of controlled items to include documents, optical media, and hard drivesin accordance withestablished procedures.

  • Maintainproficiencyin Industrial Security disciplines toinclude:Marking Classified Information, Derivative Classification, Transmission and Transportation of ClassifiedInformation, Safeguarding Classified Information in the National Industrial Security Program, Protection of Personally Identifiable Information, and Basic Information Security.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a DoD Secret clearance upon start date.

  • Use of a document management system, such asSIMS,required.

  • Education - High School Diploma

  • Experience - Minimum 2-4 years' experience in an inventory management related position.

  • Must be a US Citizen.

  • Warehouse Logistics/Procurement Experience
