The Role
BGC is seeking a highly motivated and organized Project Administrator to support Alaska-based projects while providing administrative support for the launch and ongoing growth of BGC's Anchorage office and team. This role will begin as a 'work from home' position for a candidate located in Anchorage, Alaska, and will transition to a fully in-office position following the opening of BGC's Anchorage office. You will work closely with Project Managers, Admin Leads, administrative teammates and staff across all BGC offices in a fast-paced consulting environment. The ideal candidate is adaptable, proactive, takes initiative, communicates clearly, and takes pride in delivering high-quality work.
Responsibilities
  • Project and Field Logistics
    • Coordinate field crew logistics, including resource and vehicle tracking, travel, and accommodations.
    • Maintain project team calendars, including milestones, deliverables, vacations, field schedules, and travel.
    • Coordinate meetings, take notes, and track action items.
    • Source and coordinate field-related equipment, supplies, and vendor services, including shipping and receiving.
  • Project Administration and Document Control
    • Apply project specific document control requirements to maintain the quality of project deliverables.
    • Assist Project Managers and Project Accountants with regular progress and accrual reporting, invoicing, and budget tracking.
    • Maintain project team SharePoint sites, filing systems, and Teams channels.
    • Prepare and format letters, reports, presentations, and other project documents.
    • Support onboarding for new team members and track training completion.
    • Anticipate project team needs and proactively recommend practical solutions.
    • Complete a variety of administrative and project tasks as needed, such as field data entry and compiling appendix materials.
  • General Administrative Support
    • Contribute to the search for local office space and assist with related coordination.
    • Coordinate general office organization, supplies, and day-to-day administrative needs.
    • Support planning for office and project events, workshops, and team activities.
    • Track BGC personnel shift rotations and coordinate related logistics.
    • Welcome visitors (clients, contractors and BGC personnel) to the Anchorage office space and support travel-related needs, including accommodations, vehicle bookings, and local area information.
    • Contribute to the development of a positive office culture that aligns with BGC's broader One Team approach.
    • Support broader BGC teams and projects as needed.

Required Education, Experience & Competencies
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in administration.
  • Demonstrate initiative and work proactively.
  • Adapt quickly and manage changing priorities effectively.
  • Organize work, meet deadlines, and maintain strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and confident learning new programs.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
  • Work independently and stay accountable for results.
  • Have a common-sense approach and sound critical thinking skills.

Compensation
The estimated base salary range for this position is $60,000 - $75,000 USD per annum, however base pay will be commensurate with job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. BGC's compensation package also includes a discretionary bonus plan, training allowance, and comprehensive medical and dental plan.
