LockNet is seeking an eager and driven leader to manage our Commercial Door and Hardware Department. This role is responsible for overseeing preconstruction, estimating, detailing, and project execution while building a scalable Division 8 (& some Div 10) focused contract service that competes in the traditional general contractor market. This position requires strong Division 8/10 knowledge, and experience managing teams and complex construction projects from bid through closeout. Comsense experience is preferred.

*This position offers a hybrid schedule that requires at least 2 days per week on-site.*

A successful leader will:

  • Drive the preconstruction bidding process to one that wins bids and successfully serves the customer
  • Ensure accurate, competitive, and timely bid submissions.
  • Maintain quality controls that support accurate submittals and production-ready project execution.
  • Drive processes that minimize rework and production errors.
  • Develop strong GC relationships that promote repeat business.
  • Ensure projects are executed profitably and in accordance with scope, schedule, and quality expectations.
  • Sustain a culture of accountability and strong performance across the GC team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team supporting Div 8 GC projects, including estimating, detailing/engineering, and project management
  • Oversee Division 8/10 bidding, takeoffs, addenda, and proposal strategy
  • Ensure smooth handoff from estimating through execution
  • Establish and maintain effective processes for submittals, production coordination, procurement, and logistics
  • Serve as the primary operational contact for General Contractors
  • Partner with Sales on preconstruction strategy, VE options, and customer alignment
  • Own and standardize Comsense workflows, assemblies, and job setup
  • Drive operational structure and accuracy, protecting margin and profitability
  • Support change order strategy and scope control
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Inventory, Finance, and Service

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5-7+ years experience management in Division 8/10, contract hardware, and GC projects.
  • Strong understanding of doors, frames, hardware, and construction documents.
  • Comsense experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience in TOAD & Avaware a plus
  • Proven leadership experience in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to manage complex projects from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of job costing, margins, and project profitability.
