Key ResponsibilitiesEstimating & Takeoffs
  • Review architectural drawings, specifications, and project documents to determine scope requirements for Division 8.

  • Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for hollow metal frames, wood doors, specialty doors, and hardware.

  • Prepare complete bid packages and cost estimates.

  • Develop competitive pricing strategies for bids and negotiated work.

Bid Preparation
  • Assemble bid proposals including scope clarifications and exclusions.

  • Track deadlines and ensure timely submission of bids.

  • Maintain estimating files and documentation for future reference.

Collaboration
  • Work closely with project managers, sales staff, and operations teams during bid reviews.

  • Participate in internal bid strategy meetings.

  • Assist with project handoff once work is awarded.


Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of estimating experience in Division 8 (doors, frames, hardware) or closely related construction trades.

  • Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

  • Experience with commercial construction projects.

  • Proficiency with estimating software such as:
