"Opening Doors to Awesome Opportunities"

Job Title: Project Manager – Division 8 (Doors, Frames & Hardware)
Location: Wixom, Michigan
Department: Project Management – Division 8
Job Type: Full-Time | On-Site

Position Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Project Manager with proven experience in Division 8 (commercial doors, frames, and hardware) to join a dynamic and fast-growing team in Wixom, Michigan. This is a non-estimating, full-cycle project management role focused on execution, detailing (10%), coordination, and customer service—from submittal through closeout.

The ideal candidate is a “plug-and-play” professional—someone who brings deep industry expertise and can manage projects independently with minimal oversight. The company is growing rapidly but remains highly selective, prioritizing quality and long-term cultural fit over quick hires.

This is a full-time, on-site position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Division 8 project activities from post-award through completion

  • Create, review, and manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, and schedules using ProTech Titan

  • Coordinate with general contractors, suppliers, installers, and internal departments to ensure accurate and timely execution

  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation and communication records

  • Review shop drawings, hardware schedules, and specifications for compliance with project and code requirements (ADA, NFPA, fire-rated, etc.)

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and field personnel throughout the project lifecycle

  • Oversee punch lists, warranty items, and final closeout packages

  • Attend project meetings and conduct occasional job site visits

  • Collaborate with internal teams, including estimating, purchasing, and logistics

Ideal Candidate Profile
  • 5+ years of experience managing Division 8 (doors, frames & hardware) projects

  • Strong working knowledge of Protech Titan (or similar platforms)

  • Familiarity with hollow metal and wood doors, frames, and architectural hardware

  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, hardware schedules, and submittals

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word); familiarity with Procore is a plus

  • AHC, DHC, or industry certifications preferred but not required

  • Proven ability to operate autonomously and manage multiple projects effectively

  • Local to Southeast Michigan or open to relocation; valid driver’s license required

What We Offer
  • Competitive salary based on experience and skill level

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance

  • 401(k) with company match

  • Paid vacation and holidays

  • Supportive, team-oriented culture with strong leadership involvement

  • Opportunities for long-term growth in a rapidly expanding company

  • A company that values loyalty, autonomy, and craftsmanship—you’ll be treated as a key contributor, not just a number
