Position Overview

At Unified Door & Hardware Group (UDHG), we are looking for a driven and customer-focused Sales Representative to help grow our business and strengthen client partnerships. From the first handshake to the final signature, you’ll ensure all sales documents are organized, requirements are met, and no detail is overlooked. Key Responsibilities
Customer Relationship Management
  • Maintain regular contact with assigned customers to monitor project progress and identify new business opportunities
  • Develop new customer relationships within assigned territories
  • Attend project meetings and manage projects through proactive communication, vendor coordination, and collaboration with warehouse and shipping teams
 
Bidding & Estimating
  • Obtain construction plans and specifications promptly for accurate bid preparation
  • Participate in take-offs and interpret specifications to optimize bid opportunities
  • Prepare and submit accurate, timely bids that meet customer and company standards
  • Follow up on bid results and negotiate to secure awarded projects
 
Vendor Coordination & Cost Management
  • Build strong vendor relationships and source competitive pricing to improve bid competitiveness and margins
  • Monitor billing and costing regularly, addressing gross margin concerns proactively
  • Maintain ongoing communication with vendors regarding service issues, product updates, and training opportunities
 
Jobsite & Project Oversight
  • Visit jobsites as needed to attend meetings, monitor progress, and resolve project-related issues
 
Internal Collaboration & Mentorship
  • Attend sales meetings to evaluate market opportunities and align on assignments
  • Support the development of team members through coaching, coordination, and issue resolution
 
Continuous Learning & Compliance
  • Stay current on door and hardware products, building codes, and industry standards through ongoing education (e.g., DHI)
  • Proactively identify and resolve customer or internal issues related to sales activities
 
Inventory & Operational Support
  • Participate in physical inventories by counting or verifying assigned areas
 
Training
  • Attend all required sales meetings and company training programs
 
Additional Responsibilities & Miscellaneous
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support Sales and corporate objectives
 
 
Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a construction-related environment
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • Strong math aptitude
  • Familiarity with industry-specific software
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
  • Knowledge of commercial door and hardware products and building code requirements

Compensation
The listed pay range reflects the expected base rate for this position. Within the range, individual pay may vary based on experience, qualifications, and work location within state. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
