Summary

Play a critical role in keeping our feed mill operations running smoothly as a Feed Mill Dispatcher. In this role, you’ll coordinate closely with drivers, farmers, and internal teams to ensure feed is scheduled, dispatched, and delivered accurately and on time. Your attention to detail, strong communication skills, and commitment to safety and quality will help support seamless operations and strong customer relationships across our network.

Schedule: 2nd Shift: Monday through Friday, 2:00pm - 11:00pm. Weekends/Saturdays as business needs dictate. 

Principal Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate feed delivery schedules with drivers, farmers, and internal teams.
  • Dispatch drivers for feed delivery to farms.
  • Monitor and communicate delivery status, delays, or issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of feed inventory, delivery schedules, and driver logs.
  • Collaborate with customer service teams to resolve farmer complaints or concerns.
  • Work closely with the feedmill operations to ensure efficient loading and unloading of feed.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • High School or equivalent is beneficial but not required.
  • 1+ year of dispatch or logistics experience.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

 

Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors

When in a feedmill environment:

  • Work is performed in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with frequent changes in temperature and humidity.
  • Exposure to dust, grains, and strong odors in feedmill and farm environments.
  • Regular travel to farms and facilities.
  • Work involves standing, walking, and lifting (up to 50lbs) for extended periods.
  • Lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, standing/walking, climbing/stooping.
  • Possess normal hearing and vision to perform tasks safely.
