Job description

LOCAL OTR DRIVER

Drivers are needed to operate a commercial vehicle to transport product between destinations while following all regulatory and company safety standards, policies, and procedures.

This is full-time position, Monday through Friday with night driving hours, dispatched at 10:00 pm.  You will be home during the day.

Pay Range: $70,000-$80,000/year.

Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate a tractor trailer to deliver products to our customers in accordance with all company and federal/DOT rules and regulations
  • Ensure product is properly loaded and secured for safe and timely delivery
  • Maintain and prepare daily logs to include Pre and Post trip inspections
  • Immediately report any customer or equipment issues or incidents to the Dispatch
  • Provide exceptional customer service to customers
  • Primarily dock to dock / drop and hook / NO TOUCH FREIGHT

Qualifications:

  • Valid Class A license with HazMat Endorsement
  • Minimum of 2 years of documented tractor-trailer OTR experience
  • Safe driving history
  • Ability to pass pre-employment DOT physical and drug screening

While performing the duties of this job, the associate will be required to move frequently, stand, walk, and sit. The associate is frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and to reach with hands and arms. The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs.

The associate must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle as well as the rear cargo area.
