Position Overview

As a Ready-Mix Concrete Dispatch Manager, you will lead the dispatch function for Heidelberg Materials' New York ready-mix operations, driving safe, efficient, and customer-focused delivery performance while providing strategic leadership, workforce planning, and operational oversight across the business.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead daily dispatch, scheduling, and logistics activities supporting ready-mix operations across New York State.
  • Manage and develop a team of dispatch, scheduling, and customer service professionals while fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and customer focus.
  • Optimize driver scheduling, fleet utilization, and resource planning to improve operational efficiency and service reliability.
  • Monitor performance metrics and identify opportunities to improve productivity, customer service, workforce planning, and operational effectiveness.
  • Partner with plant operations, sales, customer service, and transportation teams to proactively support business needs and resolve operational challenges.

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience leading dispatch, logistics, transportation, fleet, or operational teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills with the ability to balance competing priorities and solve complex operational challenges.
  • Proven ability to manage staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation while maintaining high levels of customer service.
  • Experience within ready-mix concrete, aggregates, asphalt, construction materials, or a related industrial logistics environment is strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with dispatch, transportation, scheduling, or other operational management systems.

Work Environment

  • 100% On-site role requiring hands-on involvement with dispatch operations and team leadership.
  • Primarily office-based position located in Pavilion, NY, supporting ready-mix operations throughout New York State.
  • Fast-paced operational environment requiring frequent communication with drivers, customers, plant personnel, and business leaders.
  • Regular daytime schedule with flexibility to support operational needs and occasional off-hours or weekend activities.
