Job description

Job Title: Dispatch Supervisor
Overview: The Dispatcher supervisor is responsible for the daily coordination, communication, and execution of all transport operations supporting Suit-Kote's construction and material production activities. This includes dispatching and planning movements for lowbed equipment haulers, distributor trucks, liquid tanker transports, and other fleet assets.
This role ensures proactive planning, real-time operational adjustments, and continuous communication with drivers, plant personnel, field operations, and management to maximize fleet efficiency and support business performance across multiple regions.
Safety Expectations: All Suit-Kote employees are required to comply with all safety rules and to always observe safe work practices and operating procedures. Whenever on Suit-Kote property or job sites, or operating Suit- Kote equipment, employees are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that promotes the safety of the employee, co-workers and others.
Responsibilities/Job Duties:
  • Coordinate and dispatch daily transportation operations for Caledonia, including lowboy equipment moves, distributor trucks, tanker transports, and support fleet, to meet operational and production schedules.
  • Ensure all dispatched drivers and operators are in full compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR), company safety standards, and DOT requirements.
  • Review, verify, and approve transportation-related processing and documentation for Caledonia operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, direction, and training support to drivers and operators to improve efficiency, communication, and compliance.
  • Complete and manage time entry and payroll support functions for dispatched personnel operating out of Caledonia.
  • Source, negotiate, schedule, and manage third-party trucking vendors, performance expectations, and ensuring prompt invoice approval/payment processing.
  • Proactively monitor fleet utilization and make real-time adjustments to dispatch plans to maximize productivity, minimize downtime, and support field operations.
  • Ensure adherence to all company transportation policies, operational procedures, and administrative requirements.
  • Perform additional duties and operational support tasks as assigned to meet business needs.

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift to 20 pounds
  • Observe and comply with necessary PPE requirements
  • Must be able to work in a noisy area with many odors present
  • Bending, stretching, stooping, kneeling, crawling and squatting
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
  • Ability to sit in an office space for extended periods of time

Other Preferred Qualities:
  • Class A Commercial Drivers License
  • Ability to learn new systems/ such as our B2W system.
  • High school diploma or GED - a two-year technical degree
